Dr. Kamil Stelmach has been a fixture of the AbGradCon organizing committee for years. He contributes every year, even if he can’t attend in person. He’s always very responsive and an active member of the committee. He’s been a great contact with other organizations. In 2017, he made sure to collect high quality items for trivia prizes and in addition, he saw a need and proposed a new addition to AbGradCon offerings: “money lunch”, an informational table at lunch with tips and tricks for getting an NESSF or other fellowships for attendees that were interested. This year, Kamil has done completely selfless service by contributing to several aspects of the organization of AbGradCon2018 at a distance, spending hours online for the conference including compiling documents with specific, detailed, thorough and organized information that he collected, and maintaining the AbGradCon facebook page active, even though he was not going to be able to attend.
